Ugh! I am so sick and tired of this rain! Don't get me wrong, I love the rain when it's a nice afternoon thunderstorm that leaves the sun shining in place when it's finished. I just don't like this draggy on, gray for days type. I never realize how much I need the sunshine until it's gone.
Anyhow, that is my rant. Moving on!
My day was really unexciting. Particularly because I was in a rather sour mood. However, I did make that cheesy bread for my parents anniversary. Which leads me to my main point for this post. My parents, Tawdra and Clint, have been married twenty six years today! I am so very, very lucky to have a mom and a dad that are not only still together, but still in love. I want to say "If I have a marriage as perfect as theirs I will consider myself so lucky." But I have no illusions that anyone on this earth has a perfect marriage. I guess the better word is loving. Not only to each other but to us kids as well. So kudos to them.
This is going to be a short post because I really haven't had much of a day. I'm very uninspired and everything feels rather flat. Hopefully a movie day at the dollar theater with David and Haley will help.
Artichoke heart, garlic and cheesy stuffed bread. It was quite good.
"If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world." J. R. R. Tolkien
I realize the cheer part is rather ironic.
