I should be asleep but I'm so proud of todays little project I just have to write about it. The reason for the project in the first place was my ugly sticky-outy A/C unit. It doesn't work, I just can't do anything about it! Such are the trials of renting a house. I've been meaning to do something about it since we moved in but I haven't had the time or energy. So today in a burst of renovating/fixing creativity I finally did something about it.
It didn't exactly come with the click of a button. I tried several-several-different ways to hide it and I just wasn't satisfied. Finally, I came up with the solution. I took an old shower curtain that I had turned into a shorter curtain for a project at my old house and strung it through a curtain rod, tacked it up and voila! I also added the shelf above for a little flair. It looks cute and it's off my mind. This was what worked best for me since the unit was sticking out so far, but I've also seen a way to cover ugly A/C's up with a canvas or shelving. Definitely something to keep in mind!
