F-O-U-R

Technically this is Saturday but we're going to ignore the little hour or so lapse into tomorrow. For me it's still today!
My complaint about yesterdays rain must have been heard by someone because today was absolutely, summer-certified(ly?) beautiful! So of course it was off to the beach for Haley, David and I. Although David had his heart set on the movies and we had to take him kicking and screaming. Metaphorically, of course.
I can't even express the joy of living even thirty minutes from the beach. I've been dozens of times this year and it's definitely my favorite part of where we live. The water was so nice today. There was a sandbar aways out so David and I spent most of our time in the belt of really calm water right before it got shallow again. I didn't get many (any) pictures of the beach--my phone stayed in the car the whole time--but it was nice not to have to worry about it.
It was rather uneventful but that was nice.
So we got home and I straightened up around the house, did dishes, (the reason I can never keep a good coat of polish on my nails; dishes!) and attempted to organize a few things in my room. This involved paging through some old journals and among other amusing things I found this little gem:
Yep, fa"mouse" words and important facts from my incredible and very modest eight year old counterpart.
And I was apparently also known as "Issie Christine". By all of no one.
So after a very nice, relaxing day and talking to my best friend, I'm thinking I could really use some travel. I mean, in my opinion I can always use travel but I'm thinking I need to make it happen for real. It feels like summer, now I need to act like it's summer and do something new!
