5-6 . . .5-6-7-8

I am so late. So very late. I don't know how I managed to let three (nearly four) days slip past before sitting down to write again. Four of my 31 days will have to be smushed into one so here we go!

Saturday summed up:
-Ugh
-Sad
-Tears
-Temper
Along with attending the funeral of a family friend (And let's just admit it, no matter, what funerals are hard.) I also had a rotten day. Now, I will say I was a negative Nancy all day and maybe my attitude could have been a "leetle" better. But maybe I was an angel and just wanted to use the phrase "negative Nancy", who knows. I just felt like I was on edge all day.
As I said, funerals are hard. And the fact that the rain was back for a good part of the day didn't help, either. It was like Shakespeare's "weather reflects the human condition". Cause let's be honest, no matter how much you want to celebrate a persons life and the life they've gone on to have, right beside that joy, staring you in the face, is the raw and scary grief. I didn't even know this particular friend exceedingly well. My parents were good friends with he and his wife. However, it's still difficult.
It makes for a rough day.

Sunday:
-Church
-Running
-Sweat
-So much sweat
-Go home humidity, you're drunk
-A sub-par movie
-FUN anyway

Church is always great because I work in the nursery and those kiddos are just so stinkin cute. Plus I get along so well with the ladies who work there, it's such a treat. Sometimes I think I'm actually a middle aged woman. What.
Then Haley and I went for a run. Running always goes like this for me, at first I feel like: "Yay! Health!" About three steps into the run when the invisible man starts to stab me repeatedly in the ribs I feel like: "Ugh! DEATH!"
Seriously, anyone who pretends to like running is a dirty LIAR! Okay, maybe not, I did feel pretty good afterwards but the 'during' was torture.
Later we picked up Sarah, ate this amazing dinner of deconstructed shish kabobs my mom made, and went off to the dollar theater to see a movie. It was 'Oz the Great and Powerful'. It was okay. Five and a half out of ten.

Monday:
-Sleeping in (GLORY BE)
-Beach with friends
-Fantastic ice cream
-Seriously, so much ice cream I'm lucky I'm not pre-diabetic

We had a lazy beach day. Sarah and I got to hang out with a girlfriend we don't often see. It was still fun even though we got chased off the beach early by sharks and a thunderstorm. Not literally--luckily the sharks stayed where they ought to be. After, as I said above, we got ice cream. It was cheap and delicious, my two favorite characteristics in food. The rest of Monday was just lazy and relaxing.

Today:
-Bubba
-Pizza making
-Fire truck watching
-My new camera!!

Today was uneventful as well except that my new camera arrived. A camera which, I will add, I got an amazing deal on thanks to my awesome brother-in-law. I am so excited to have a camera of my own so I made up a makeshift case to keep it safe until I can buy a proper one. Sarah had seen this pattern on Pinterest and this is the original DIY. Mine isn't as good but I used batting instead and it doesn't have the clean cut look the foam has. I will include more of what I did tomorrow when I have more time!

Could have turned out worse!

So that is my four days. I wanted to make sure I wrote since I haven't and I promised I would. I am determined to keep this up!
